Learning Curve
Few people realise that they even have irregularities with their spine, and even fewer realize just how far-reaching these problems can become. Over two days of Spine Healing workshops at Lotus Star, Alexander Toskar brought Divine Straightening to Bangkok. By Charlotte James
Alexander was one of the first to experience the Divine Straightening through his father. After several long trips to India with profound spiritual experiences, Alexander's consciousness and healing power increased continually and just like his father Pjotr he found his mission in this work. Together with his wife Carolin he set up spiritual healing schools in Germany and in Switzerland, where they live. Over several years, word of their work has spread, and they have proved popular throughout Europe and Asia. The Thai Ministry of Public Health invited Carolin and Alexander to demonstrate Alexander's work on Asian television.
"What many people do not realise is that problems with their spine affect all parts of the body,"Carolin explained to us, while Alexander treated his final patient from the previous groups session. "The spine is the path through which energy flows through the body - when the spine is straight, energy flows freely through all seven chakra points. This in turn ensures all of our vital organs and systems have a proper supply of energy." For the uninitiated, the chakra points are located at seven places in the body that were identified in ancient India as centres of energy - a tradition that has its roots in the Hindu religion.
The seven points - lower body, genitalia, naval, heart, throat, forehead and the top of the head, are identified on chakra diagrams with a wheel symbol, 'chakra' being the Sanskrit word for 'wheel'. The seven points correspond with some Chinese acupuncture points, and in New Age practices, each chakra point has been ascribed a certain colour. "When energy flows freely through all the chakra points, along the path of the spine, the body is in prime health," Carolin explains. "So, while what we are doing here has a visible result - you will be able to see a difference in posture once the treatment is completed - the benefits are more far-reaching. Your body will become altogether healthier."
Alexander introduced himself to the assembled group, and offered to give a demonstration so we could see the results of spine healing. "It is necessary to choose someone with an incorrect posture for the demonstration, so you can all easily see the difference after treatment," he said. A girl from the audience came forward, and Alexander showed us, with a ruler, how her shoulder blades were clearly unequal - one was higher than the other.
Next, she sat on the treatment bed, and Alexander observed her legs - one leg was noticeably longer than the other. "This apparent difference in length is caused by the spine not being straight," he tells us. "If there were no irregularities, her legs would appear equal in length." lf the girl lay flat, the difference was still noticeable. Alexander marked the difference on her ankles with a marker pen, and then began the healing process.
The process itself was silent, brief and involved no contact whatsoever - Alexander moved his hands above the girl, who lay flat on the bed with her eyes closed. Then, he asked her to sit upright, and once again, pulled her legs straight. To the amazement of the assembled audience, they were now even in length, the black markers on her heels were no longer in line. The 'shorter' Ieg was now the same length as it's 'longer' twin. “This is only the visible change, of course," said Alexander, as whispers of amazement went around the room." Due to the severity of this patient's problems, I cannot completely heal her in one visit," he said." Divine Straightening is unique to different people - sometimes it is quick, sometimes it takes a few days, weeks, even months - it is an ongoing process."
Next, Alexander showed us the patient's shoulder blades once more - they were still slightly uneven, but clearly a vast improvement from before. "A few follow-up treatments will completely cure the irregularities in her posture, and enable energy to flow freely through her body." One by one, members of the group were treated in private by Alexander. As we waited, Carolin answered our questions and talked more about the process." Its incredible to see the difference in someone's posture after healing, but we cannot stress enough that the results run far deeper," she said. "When energy flows through the physical body, the effects are powerful psychologically. The person will feel a sense of harmony, balance and perfection.
There will be a boost in their self-esteem; they'll feel good, stable, and content with their place in life."
